Overview
Overview
Certify 4U is a study platform built to help students prepare for the SIE exam, developed by 4U Ed Tech for the U.S. market. The main goal of this landing page was simple: get visitors to download the free app as quickly as possible, with minimal friction and no unnecessary information standing in the way.
Copy for this page was defined in close collaboration with the project's copywriter, simple, direct language tailored to a U.S. audience that tends to decide fast. My role was structuring the design to support that message clearly, using visual hierarchy, spacing, and layout to reinforce what the copy was already communicating, rather than compete with it or slow the reader down.

Design in service of the copy
Design in service of the copy
With the message already defined, the design's job was to make that message land as clearly and quickly as possible, without ever competing with it for attention.
A persistent navigation bar with the logo and download button follows the user through the entire page. This keeps the brand visible at every scroll position, reinforcing recognition, while also making sure the download action is never more than a glance away, no matter how far down the page a visitor has scrolled.
The hero section keeps the headline and both download CTAs (App Store and Google Play) visible without requiring any scroll, so the page's single goal is clear from the first second. Throughout the rest of the page, each feature is paired with an icon, a short title, and one supporting sentence, a layout built to match the copy's own brevity, rather than stretching it into longer paragraphs that would slow the reader down.
App screenshots also play an essential role throughout the page, not just as decoration. Since the product being promoted is something the user will install on their own phone, seeing real interface screens (the course selector, flashcards, audio lessons) gives them a clear, concrete idea of what they're actually downloading, something a written description alone couldn't fully convey.
The download CTA also repeats at multiple points down the page, not just at the top, so no matter where a visitor decides they're ready, the next step is always close by. None of these decisions changed a single word of copy, they existed to carry that copy to the reader with as little friction as possible.

What I learned
What I learned
This project reinforced how much collaboration shapes a stronger result than working in isolation. Aligning closely with the copywriter meant the page never felt like two disconnected layers (text plus design), it felt like one message built by two people solving the same problem from different angles.
Finally, designing for a fast-deciding audience clarified something I now apply more broadly: not every landing page needs to sell with depth, some need to sell with speed. Recognizing which situation you're designing for changes almost every decision that follows, from how much copy fits per section to how often the CTA repeats.
